A business is the fastest route back to independence for a woman who has lost the person who shared her household's income. Yet most widows and low-income women start with nothing: no stock, no equipment and nobody to ask.
We help a woman choose a trade she already understands — provisions, food, tailoring, hairdressing, farm produce or phone accessories — and then provide what she needs to begin: an opening stock, tools or equipment, and a small starter package tied to that trade. Alongside it she receives practical guidance on pricing, record-keeping and separating business money from household money, and a mentor who has run the same kind of business before.
We do not lend money and we take no share of anyone's profit. What we provide is a grant, and the business is hers from the first day.
