Choosing a trade is one decision; running it profitably is another. Our business start-up clinic is a practical, hands-on session for women who are starting a business or trying to steady one they have already begun.
What the clinic covers
- Choosing a trade with real local demand
- Costing and pricing: knowing the real margin on each item
- Keeping simple daily records that fit in one exercise book
- Separating business money from household money
- Saving in small, consistent amounts through a group
Who can attend
The clinic is open to women in our programme communities, with priority for widows and women heading a household alone. Attendance is free. Participants who complete the clinic and meet the criteria can apply for a business starter pack — opening stock, tools or equipment for the trade they have chosen.
How to register
Registration is through our contact form or through the community leaders and women's groups we work with. Places are limited so that each participant receives proper attention.
